Has is really been almost two months since I last posted??

I guess it has! I just don't have the time, nor patience of uploading & downloading stuff like I use too!

I've also got a First Grader now, who has more than just cut & paste for homework now, and a Seventh grader who seems to almost NEVER have any homework.

Has it really been almost 2 months since I last posted??? I guess so! I need to fill you in on all the great things that have happened around here!

Well the new job is going great, I really enjoy the ladies I am working with, they are both super nice!
I've have fit right in, and we all get along great!

The kids are doing wonderful, only 20something days left of school, and both of them will have put behind them a major milestone, Kindergarten & first year of Middle School. They both have done so well academically. It's hard to beleive that this year has gone by so fast! It seems like yesterday I was posting about the First day of school!

Speaking of kids, Caleb in particular, who by the way turned the big ripe old age of six on Mother's Day, took a tumble only four days before his Birthday off his bed, and broke his right wrist!!!! He's in a long cast(the kind that goes up to his elbow) for 2 weeks, then he will get a short cast for 6 weeks! Bless his heart!!

We had a wonderful Easter, and I had a wonderful Mother's Day as well. Well it's not as long as I thought it would be, but now here come the pictures! Enjoy!

I still don't know why these pictures are posting sideways!! Grrr!!!

Hi Guys! Well it's Friday & I made it through my first week back at work! It was great, I really enjoy the place! I mean I just can't say it enough & I mean that!

Caleb went on his second field trip of the year today, they traveled to a Southern States, that also had a farm as well. He was able to milk a goat & cow, he also got to bottle feed a cow named Oreo! I was not able to go on this trip, but I had another parent take some pics for me & they are soo cute! Soon as I get the okay, I'll post some on my blog!

I'm looking foward to a nice weekend, I think it's suppose to be in the 70's here tommorow! Happy Day!

Well I hope you all have a great weekend, and don't forget to set your clocks foward Saturday, or you will be late for church!

Sorry, I've not posted in like forever. But wanted to take time to share with you all some really
good news! I have gotten a job, it was the one I interviewed for a few weeks ago. I started on Monday, and I just love it! The ladies I work with couldn't be any more nicer! I honestly feel like I've been working there forever, it's just flowed, I know it's only been 2 days, but I couldn't be more happier with this job. I am so thankful that the Lord provided this for me.

I know it's been awhile.......

I've not had a lot going on, and I still have yet to get batteries for my camera... I need too we've had such nice weather the last several days....you would think it was Spring & not Winter! I may try to get some today!

Well I had an interview on Friday, & things went great... I'm just waiting to hear back! I hope to know something today! It's here in town, probably less than 5 minutes from my house & I can wear jeans!! I will post about it as soon as I know!

Well I'm hoping to get back to blogging on a regular basis.. I have been so slack!

Only when I am home alone.
I do not like the sound of balloons rubbing together.
It gives me the creeps!
I once had my belly button pierced.
I kept it in until after I had my first child.
I am left handed.

I'm the oldest of my siblings.

This book was about two friends, which are also the author's of the book. It's not a story imagined, this book has many real life occurrences for these two ladies. It shows their true friendship, not only between the two of them, but those in their lives. It's gives an inside look

into daily life being an Amish women in today's current times.

This book I found to be uplifting, encouraging & heartfelt all at the same time!

I was able to actually visualize through there words as these stories were being told, I laughed & cried. This was the first book I had read by Cindy & I am defiantly a fan!

I defiantly recommend this one!

Saturday , Taylor & I went to our local Goodwill Store. Now the few times I've been

in there I've never found anything. This time I was determined to at least find something,

I had nothing but time, Chris was home with the boys {my Nephew, Nevaeh is staying with us

for a little while, just in case you were wondering where I picked up another child, for those

of you that know I only have 2 kids} so I browsed through the racks, my arms were hurting

by the time I was done. I was getting discouraged & my allergies were beginning to kick in. I don't know why every time I go there my allergies start to act up. Taylor said it was because maybe the people that

donated there clothes had cats?? Which I am allergic too. Who knows??

But anywho, on to my deal... I was in the house ware section, when low & behold I look

down what do I see??

Why, a set of Pier 1 dishes, enough for 6 folks & the price

$6.99!!!!

Why I could not believe it, I told Taylor, "girl go get mama a buggy" I stood vigilante

over them dishes till she got back! I loaded them up & was just beaming with glory!!

OK, so I have been really lazy with my picture taking lately & I'm pretty sure my

camera needs batteries. Today I'm taking the easy road... posting some random shots I already

Something New

I've started a separate blog. Yes, I know I'm nuts.... I do good to try and keep this one updated like I should. I actually started it back in Oct. but only a few posts, nothing special, I kinda put it on the back burner.

This one is something I felt led to do, I guess in my head it makes me feel more accountable. I want to really open my eyes to all God has in store for me. I need to finally get out of my own way. What's that saying "Let go and let God". I need that. I am so tired of just talking about doing it, I really want to do it.

God has been so good to me and my family over the last year, and I so don't deserve any of it. But his Grace is sufficient. I want to use that blog as a means of my heart speaking as I further my walk with God, and Grow in his Grace. I hope that it encourages all that read it. I look forward to getting encouraged as well.

What I thought.....

This was the first book I had ever read by Susan Meissner, and I must say I loved it! The book was well written & left me not wanting to put the book down. I couldn't wait to see how the lives of both the Jane's played out. My heart ached for both of them when they both were dealing with the tragedies of love & loss.
I would defiantly recommend this to my friends!

Stuck

I felt like I was stuck in the sand, unable to get out.

Not the best year for me personally, most of you know that I was laid

off from my job in Jan. 2010. What you didn't know was how this has affected me.I have gone through

so many emotions over this, scared to death- our house, was use to functioning on a 2 income basis, to being okay with it when the kids got out of school I thought I'll be able to enjoy the summer, to back to being scared once the kids went back to school because my youngest was starting Kindergarten & I would now be facing these days by myself & I still had not found a job. Then there were my very dark days that I had, where I would just take the kids to school, come home and go back to bed. I've cried, gotten mad, and I would be lying if I said I've not gotten mad at God. I allowed my job loss & lack of being able to find a new one affect every aspect of my life, from my walk with God, to the kids, my marriage, self image, self worth. I mean one person can really only take so many rejection letters & never even getting an answer before it starts to make them wonder.

I've been slowly digging myself back out. During that time the relationship, the one I needed the most -the one with my Saviour suffered probably the most. I am ashamed to admit that, but I find it hard to believe that Iam the only one that has done that. In some way felt like he was keeping me from finding a job, punishing me for some unconfessed sin, or past mistakes.

Of course I knew better, but wanted to believe that.

So, back to the digging myself out, I've begun to realize that I have got to embrace this season in my

life, though I don't know what God has in store for me, I know this last year, we have managed to continue

to be able to get our bills paid each month, & have food on the table. My God has been faithful,

even though I certainly did not deserve it.

So with that being said, Thanks for reading, I don't typically share things

such as this, but I just had to get this out. I want to move forward in this New Year.

I want to walk closer to my Lord from here on out, never leaving him out of my daily activities in life.

Always seeking him first.

Snow Day!!!

Hey Guys! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We did, the kids got lots of things, we had some great food & we got a White Christmas! I think it had been like 40 some years since my area had seen snow on Christmas day & boy did we get some snow! We got somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-8 inches! Of course the next day the kids wanted to get out in it! Here are some pictures of our snow day!!!

I came across a blog post from a friend of mine, posting about Shutterfly. It's an online photo mecca, where you can create all things photo. I've heard of them before but never really looked into it. Well I am glad I did, I was looking at the HUGE assortment of Christmas cards they have & just could not believe the selection. I think that's going to make it very hard when I choose what type of Christmas card to send out for my family.

Here are a few that I really like. What do you think? They have several types to choose from. There are folded cards & flat cards. So many to chose from.....

There are so many to choose from! I know that Shutterfly will be something I can use all year round not just for Christmas. They have cards for every occasion under the moon. Not to mention some pretty cute

calendars. Now those are the gift that keeps giving all year long. Talk about a great gift for a grandparent, or someone in another state. How Cute! They also have some other photo gifts, from mugs, to keepsake ornaments. Just so much to name.

Now I have got to get the family together to take a Christmas picture & use Shutterfly for getting some cards. It's so hard to believe that this year is almost over. Then I will be looking into what I can use this great online photo company for in the new year.

I recently received a copy of this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review. I was excited to get this in. We already have several books about Christmas, and looked forward to

adding another to our collection. This book is about Little Star, a small unnoticed star. He and all the other

stars have been told that the birth of a king is soon to come. When this day arrives none of the other stars believe that a king could be born in a stable, but Little Star realizes that that is our king. He shines so

brightly among all the other stars, all in his effort to keep the tiny baby warm. He was the only one to understand the King's message, it was love.

It was a wonderful story, I enjoyed the pictures & the meaning of this story. I look forward to this becoming

a book we read each & every Christmas.

Our First Snowfall of the Season!

We got our first snowfall this past Saturday, it turned out to be a

little more than what was expected, but I think we ended up with somewhere in

the neighborhood of 2 1/2 - 3 inches. It's not much, but it by far came a lot earlier in

the year than it normally does here in the south. This is the kind of snow I like, it snows a

little, melts away really fast & causes little problems!

Needless to say today there is hardly any snow, but it is soo cold & windy!

BRRRR!!

How lovely are your branches!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, I must say I did, we had 28 folks packed in my little ol' house! It was good food & good times!

In carrying on with our tradition of putting up our tree on Thanksgiving night, we headed out to a local tree lot {sorry, forgot to take pictures} picked out quite a tree, brought it home & decorated it! I have to say {and I know I say this every year} but this year we have the best tree we have ever gotten, I just love the lights, decorations, the smell of it! Oh, I love this time of year!!

Hello guys! I've been a little busy this past week helping out my in-laws so I've not been able to blog. I've realized this week just how hectic things are when you are working, plus taking care of the house... needless to say the house kinda got a little neglected, since I've been home, I have been able to keep the house clean & pick up every day, well last week I was lucky to be able to run the vaccum! So I am taking today & Tuesday to catch up on my house work, blogging, & anything else that needs to get done.

I am so ready for Christmas!! Not so much the spending of money, but just being able to get together with family, baking, eating, and just I love the smells, the music, all the decorations, it's almost majical! But also what Christmas represents, this time of year, folks hearts are more receptive to hear the gospel. I just love it!!

Hey there! Gosh, has it been busy! I've been helping my in-laws this week in scraping wallpaper, wiping down wood walls, & just helping them get things ready to begin painting a house, that my father-n-law is working on. So I've not had time to do much of anything.... reminds me of what it's like to be working again.

I need to catch up on my 30 Days of Thankfulness & other things that have been going on around here, which really isn't a whole lot! Well the kids are home today from school, in observance of Veteran's Day, so today I am taking time to hang out with them, clean up, and make my grocery store run. Then Friday I will be back at helping the in-laws again... so I probably will not be on here again till probably Saturday! I hope you all have a great rest of the week, & I'll catch up with you in a day or two!

I saw a friend of mine on Facebook doing this & I thought what

neat idea! Ok, so I'm a little behind a few day's but here's my 1st 3..

Nov. 1st - I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ, for without him

I would be dead in my sins & trespasses, and on my way to an eternity in Hell.

{I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing

I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day. 2 Timothy 1:3}

Nov. 2nd - With this being election day, I am thankful that we live in a country

where we are free & are able to vote, and also able to worship with out

fear of persecution. Though we may not like the outcome, we are

still a lot better off than most countries.

Nov. 3rd- Today I am thankful that God made someone smart enough to

invent the idea of heat! It sure is cold this morning!

Doc has come into possession of a curious book that maps the lives of everyone in Bay City—decisions they’ve made in the past, and how those choices affect the future. Mercy and Doc are consumed by the mystery locked between the pages—Doc because he hopes to right a very old wrong, and Mercy because she wants to fulfill the book’s strange purpose. But when a mysterious stranger shows up, Mercy begins to understand she may have to choose between love and loneliness . . . or good and evil . . . for the rest of her life.

I really thought that this was going to be a good read, but it became very confusing. The characters had some "magical" book that appeared in their office one day, & allowed them to look into the lives of others. I felt like I never really knew what was going on. It was like I never really figured what the story was about.

This past Saturday, we had some our family over to celebrate Taylor's 11th Birthday, we had such a nice time, and one of the best parts was seeing her reaction to getting the only thing she asked for.... a purple nano!

Look What I Made!

First things first, these little yummy goodies were from a box mix.... there are very few things I can make from scratch! But it was raining all day yesterday, hubs was at work, the kids at school, I was bored.... so wah-laa.. I channeled my inner Betty Crocker {well in this case the Pillsbury Dough Boy} & took it upon myself to make these... I knew it would be a nice treat for the kids & hubster when they got in!

In a previous post I had mentioned that I had an interview on Monday, well just to

fill you in, I ended up getting a call back from another place I had sent my resume too & ended up having 2 take place in one day, well they went well, I hope to hear back next week on one of them, the other turned out to be part-time, but I didn't get it, originally they said full-time! Weird! But I am going to continue to seek the Lord's gudaince & know that when the right job for me is available, he will place me there.

Sorry I have been MIA for the last few days, I really have not had a thing to blog about, nor any new pictures to show off. Today's post will be short & sweet too! If you were following my old blog, then you know I was laid off 7 months ago, or to be exact it was 238 days ago... and in that time I have been searching for other employment, with no luck to be had. I have gone through terrible days, where all I wanted to do was just cry, to day's where I have enjoyed being out of work. Well now that the kids are back in school my focus on getting a job has become ever more important! I broke down & went to a staffing agency last week & they called me Wednesday to inform me I have an interview with the company coming up this Monday @ 10am. I am just asking that you say a prayer for me, if this is where the Lord wants me to be, I hope that I am able to get the job, it would be temporary for 10 weeks, then after the company will choose to add me full time.

Well that is my post for today, I hope you all have a Fantastic Friday & a great weekend!

The Correct Way to Hold a Pencil {HELP!}

For some time now we have been trying to get Caleb to hold the pencil/crayon

the correct way.....well it ain't workin!! He is one stubborn little guy! Now that he

has started school, I know the teachers are working with him, but he is still holding it

in the pictures above.

Well I need some advice... what are some ideas, or suggestions you may have

on getting him to hold the pen, pencil, crayon the correct way?

Friday night we went to the local High School Football game, it was the first one I had been to since my time in High School... the 2 teams playing where from our town, it was like the county vs the city. Okay, so Caleb has been sick since Wednesday, running a fever & sore throat. I took him to the Dr. yesterday & she said it was a virus, well he's doing much better today, so far NO fever! I hope it continues to stay that way, we want to go to the local High School Football game tonight! Looking foward to it, I've not been to a HS football game since I was in school{which I will not mention how long ago that's been}!

Taylor has yearbook pictures today, I always dreaded that day in school, alway's stressing over what to wear & the hassle of having to wear a ton of hairspray just to make sure your hair stayed put! I kept reminding her this morning to "Smile Pretty"!

Taylor is selling this Scrumdiddlyumptious candy bar at school!

This is by far my favorite & truth be told the only fundraiser I actually allow the

kids to sell, those catalogs are filled with over priced stuff & "gold" wrapping paper, I mean

I can't justify paying any more than THREE dollars on a roll of paper that is just going to

end up in the trash, yeah it's pretty but are they really gonna remember what it's wrapped in? I think not!

Sorry to go off there! But like I said, I just love these candy bars they are so

yummy to my tummy! And the best part there only ONE dollar!

I remember one time when I was in school, I ended up eating the whole box.... boy was

my mama fit to be tied! Never did that again!!

Do your children sell this type of candy bar??

This is what Caleb is working on this week for Homework, today

he read all 7 of the sentences to me! Talk about a proud mama! I'm sure

he has gotten this memorized, but I'd like to think he's actually reading this!

Who know's he just might!

I know I was fighting back tears as we went over this, I was so over joyed! Caleb would probaly

say I went a litte overboard in my reaction to this, in fact his words were "Mama you crack me up" &

in fact he wanted me to reinact my reaction, he thought it was so funny.

Time Flies When Your Having Fun!

This morning as I was waiting with Taylor at the bus stop, I was just over come with just how quickly she has grown in the last year. I mean she's taking on the form of a young women, gone are the child like features she once had. She's gotten glasses, grown what seems like a foot, ~~taken on~~ trying to take on the "teenage attitude" and is blossoming into a beautiful young lady. Then I realized she's still only 10 years old... to me seems like she should not be in Middle School, but as I watched her I realized she easily compared to some of the older kids that were out there as well! I tell ya it's hard to wrap my thoughts around how fast this last year has really flown by.

Question Answer: I don't know that I would change anything, maybe not made as many mistakes, but those mistakes have helped in making me who I have become today. Maybe would have chosen to live my life for the Lord in my teenage/early adult life. But if you changed that one thing, would it alter your life completly? You've heard that saying "If I knew then, what I know now". For me would have saved a lot of heartache & grief, but there's no going back......I must say I like it that way.

So, we visited the local Water Park, Wet & Wild-Emerald Pointe with some friends yesterday & spent the day there. I didn't get as many pics as I would have liked, but I was in the water with the kids the majority of the day... and we all know water & camera's don't go together!

My sister & baby are doing great. She had to have an emergency c-section, due to Kinley's heartrate dropping. Please keep them in prayer as Jessica begins this season in her life & heals from her surgery.
